Weyburn Terrace is a nine story, 520 bed dormitory and commons building, linking UCLA's Southwest Campus to downtown Westwood. Daniel Solomon Design Partners led the design collaborating with Executive Architect, Studios Architecture. An established context demanded that this large building extend the Mission Revival character of its smaller neighbors. We embraced this challenge with study of large Los Angeles apartment buildings in this tradition. A grand pedestrian promenade passes through the building, bringing coherence to unrelated fragments on the campus and in Westwood.
