The house is sited on a knoll to capture panoramic views. The siting creates a pattern of access which includes a tower containing a spiral stair and a bridge from the tower to the house. The architecture is inspired by indigenous mines and ranch buildings nearby. Exterior materials are stone, wood and steel.
